Gail Carson Levine

I've been on a Gail Carson Levine marathon for the past two weeks... Re-reading all of it. I started with Ella Enchanted(I've read it so many time I think it's about to fall out of the binding). Usually when I see the movie, then read the book, I like the movie a lot better. Not with Ella Enchanted. The book has so many more details than the movie, and Ella is a much more likable person in the book. In the movie, everything is like modern day, without technology. Next I read The Two Princesses of Bammare. I love this story the most out of all of Gail Carson Levine's books. When the Gray Death comes in and takes hold of Princess Addie's sister, she sets out to find the cure. She battles ogres and dragons, specters and cowards. The plot line is fast and witty, and you get to understand the characters and their personalities. The only thing I didn't like, was how Addie is always fighting a battle within herself. I guess it wasn't much of a marathon, if I only read two books, but, in my defense, I thought I had read more.

Artemis Fowl

I just finished the first book in the Artemis Fowl series last night. Eoin Colfer (pronounced "Owen") managed to mix fairies with crime, and still make it enrapturing. About a young boy from a family of crime, whose father was lost at sea, taking most of the Fowl family fortune with him. Artemis is determined to regain that fortune by any means possible. He chooses to steal gold from... The fairies! I enjoyed the book, except for when they started getting technical, using the proper names for guns, cars, and bullets. Definitely one to get on your shelf at home.

Twilight... Again

Sorry for being gone so long. It was spring break in my district last week. I have no other excuse. Almost finished with the twilight saga. I'm right towards the end of the last book, and the Volturi are just... Well, I guess I shouldn't ruin it for those of you who haven't read it.

Twilight

Reading the Twilight Saga... Again. Haven't had time to go to the book store in forever. I'm still on the first one, even after two days of intense reading. I'm almost done, so that has to count for something... Right? The second one will go even slower, because it is sooooo annoying! No Edward! What's the point of reading it?! I might just skip it altogether... Probably not... Gotta go finish now

Fablehaven 5

Just finished the last book in the Fablehaven series! Excellent way to end the story. I enjoyed how all the books fit together like a puzzle. The last book had a little too much action for me, but the story in the middle of it all was awesome. Full of betrayal and trust, friends and enemies, this book has enough twists even for the most picky reader. If you are looking for a book for the family, or a intricate story to keep you entertained, you might want to invest in this one.

My First Blog

Hi!

I just finished a spectacular book by one of my favorite authors. The title is Santa Maybe by Aubrey Mace. It has a wonderful plot line that keeps the reader mesmerized, not wanting to put it down. The characters all have intricate personalities that make each individual a story all by them selves. The book only had one downside. Way too short. Barely even lasted me a day. In my opinion, that's the problem with most books. Just when you get to the good part, it's over.

If you're looking for a quick read that will keep you on your toes, definitely go looking for this one.
